How do I make or request a loan?
If you need to request a loan from your family or friends, follow these steps:
Log into Giving Credit
On the home screen, go to the “Credit” section. If your friends or family have extended credit to you, you will see the total amount of your social credit line. This is what you can borrow from your network.
Click “Start a loan request.”
You can start a loan request from your whole network or from a specific person. If you choose a general loan request, you will be prompted to send it to everyone in your social credit network. If you choose to request from a specific person, only that person will receive your request.
Fill out the form
Giving Credit will notify your family or friends you requested, letting them know you want a loan.
They will respond using Giving Credit, and you will be notified.
If you want to lend someone money, follow these steps:
Log into Giving Credit
On the home screen, go to the “Supporting Others” section. Click on “Lend.”
Choose a person in your network you would like to lend to
Fill out the form and click “lend.”
You will be prompted with instructions on how to send the money to your friend or family member.
They will be notified that you are providing them with a loan.
Giving Credit Tip: We recommend not requesting t a loan from your network until you have mapped your social credit network. Giving Credit is designed to make lending and borrowing easier among friends and family.
